Contribution to nurse education and development.


An award dedicated to a nurse who contributes as a leader in nursing education. The nominee will have made a significant and note-worthy educational contribution to nursing and nursing knowledge. This award is aimed at nurses who do not currently hold a dedicated clinical appointment but is involved in full-time or part-time education of nurses. Nominations can include nurse practice development coordinators, clinical placement coordinators, non-third level and third level teaching and/or academic staff.

Evaluation criteria

Application provides evidence of:

  • Engages in clinical research and publication of scholarly work to advance nursing knowledge.
  • Distinguished contribution to nursing education & research.
  • Provides leadership and guidance to students and colleagues, engaging them in education.
  • National or international recognition of contribution to nursing knowledge.

In no more than 350 words please provide the justification for nominating the intended recipient (s).

Why this Nurse or Team should be considered and deserves this recognition of excellence.

  • An INCA Commitee member, cannot be nominated in the stand-alone Nursing category.
